On 29th July 2011 up and coming musicians will gather at the Klondyke Club to battle it out for their chance to bag a record deal. A thrilling mix of acts will play for industry scouts and a rapt audience at the latest Unsigned Bands Night.
The community networking group, The Levenshulme Salon, aim to provide a platform for some of the most exciting acts to showcase their work and impress record executives looking for their next signing. With an exciting line-up of performers, you will discover rising stars on the music scene and find inspiration in the electrifying atmosphere.
The Hertfordshire-based band, Evergreen, will take to the stage in the headline slot, driving you to your feet in a haze of rock glory as they showcase their outstanding EP, ‘March is Coming’.
Joining them, the brilliant singer/songwriter Jealous of Girls will soothe away the week’s stress by playing songs from his latest album in a chilled out acoustic set.
The fantastic Bailey returns to her solo roots during her successful tour as part of the duo Bowen and The Tide. She will leave you mesmerised by the passion of her voice and powerful songs.
The stage will then be handed over to DJ Sunny D to see you through into the early hours, playing thumping beats that will have the dance-floor heaving.
The bands will be dropping in on the Levenshulme Salon radio show in the run up to the night, playing some of their songs and chatting to DJ Belly. Listen in Sundays at 9 p.m. every fortnight on ALL FM 96.9 and indulge in some spoilers.
This event is to raise funds for the community radio station to ensure ALL FM keeps running its training programmes and broadcasting as the real voice of Manchester. All proceeds go towards continuing to provide these invaluable services to the Ardwick, Longsight, and Levenshulme communities.
The night will start from 7.30pm until late at the Klondyke Club, 1 Burnage Range, Manchester, M19 2HQ. Tickets cost £5, which can be bought online, at POD Deli, Bluebell Inn, and the Klondyke Club.
Come along, marvel and be inspired.
